Holders of an Australian visa subclass 494 are permitted to enter Australia through an employer nomination from a regional employer, who must deem the applicant qualified to work in a field where the necessary skills are in shortage.

EMPLOYER-SPONSORED STREAM

The visa subclass 494 allows individuals to reside, study and work in specified regional areas of Australia for a period of up to five years. This visa enables the holder to make multiple trips in and out of the country while it's valid. After holding the visa for three years, it may be possible to gain permanent Australian residence under certain conditions, and family members can also be included in the visa application.

LABOUR AGREEMENT STREAM

The visa subclass 494 grants permission for a five-year stay in designated regional areas of Australia for work or study purposes. The visa allows for unrestricted travel in and out of the country as long as it remains valid. After holding the visa for three years, there is a possibility to be eligible for Australian permanent residency, provided certain qualifications are met. Family members may also be included in the visa application.

SUBSEQUENT ENTRANT STREAM

The visa subclass 494 grants permission to stay in Australia as long as the visa remains valid, and enables holders to travel in and out of the country unrestricted while it's valid. It also allows individuals to reside in designated regional areas of Australia for five years, specifically for the purposes of work and study.

SUBCLASS 494 VISA REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the subclass 494 Visa, several requirements must be met. These include meeting the English language requirements, fulfilling health conditions according to Australian standards for yourself and any accompanying family members, satisfying character requirements as outlined by the Australian government, signing an Australian values statement indicating respect for the laws, cultures, and way of life in Australia, having no previous visa rejections or cancellations, and not being in debt to the Australian government.

SUBSEQUENT ENTRANT STREAM

To apply for the subclass 494 visa, the applicant must have a family member who holds or is the main applicant for a Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) visa. The applicant must also be nominated by the work sponsor of the principal SESR visa holder, who must have included the applicant as a family member in the nomination process. Additionally, the applicant must be under the age of 45 and meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements. While the above are the basic eligibility criteria for the subclass 494 visa, it is recommended to consult a migration agent for a full understanding of the specific eligibility requirements based on your individual circumstances.
