Now, the UK has introduced a points-based system to grant a visa. The applicant must score above 70 points to be considered for a visa.

The points are awarded based on these requirements:

  • Scores set by the British authorities for IELTS or TOEFL as proof of proficiency in English
  • The applicant should not be a citizen of the countries of the EEA (European Economic Area) or EU.
  • If the intention for coming to the UK is work, the applicant must submit all the required documents, like a certificate of work experience and the like.
  • Proof of funds for the stay in the UK
  • Character certificate
  • Health Certificate
